There are a limited number of rooms left at Skamania Lodge, for the nights of June 11, 12
and
13. No more rooms are available for the evening of June 14th. If your travel arrangements
have you requiring a room for the night of June 14th, we are encouraging attendees to see
about rooming with other participants that have already booked their lodging, for that final night.

When making your reservation you MUST indicate that you are part of the Skeletal
Workshop that has a block of rooms. The Best Western Inn is located 2.5 miles from
the Workshop site at Skamania Lodge on the other side of the Columbia River, which
is approximately a 4 minute drive.
The Skamania Lodge is located just 42 miles east of Portland, Oregon. It is situated on
175 acres, surrounded by the waterfalls, peaks, forests and canyons of the majestic
Columbia River Gorge
National Scenic Area. The warmth of the
Lodge is characterized
by the Native American-inspired rugs, original stone
rubbings, warm woolen fabrics and
mission-style wood furnishings. Their culinary vision utilizes regional and
seasonal ingredients,
focusing on Northwest interpretations of culinary
classics, and highlights the world-class
regional wineries.

The
Skamania Lodge is a classic northwestern resort, nestled in the secluded region
of
the Columbia River Gorge. Due to its
location there is no nearby alternative housing,
and therefore it is
recommended that attendees stay at Skamania.
Rooms have been
reserved for attendees at discounted rates, which can be
extended 3 days before and
3 days after the meeting. You will need to reserve your room(s)
directly with Skamania
Lodge. To get the
Workshop discount, you must make arrangements by telephone
and inform Lodge
personnel that you will be attending the Workshop. Please DO NOT
make lodging arrangements online. All
necessary information will be provided when
you begin the online meeting
registration process.

Skamania Lodge is easily accessible by rental car or shuttle. Please read the

Directions From the Portland International
Airport: Leave
airport via I-205 South.
Exit to Interstate 84 East (toward
The Dalles). Continue east on I-84 until the
Cascade Locks/Bridge of the Gods/Stevenson exit
(#44). Take the Bridge of the
Gods over the Columbia River ($1.00 toll), and then turn right (east) onto Highway
14. Proceed approximately
1 1/2 miles and turn left onto
Rock Creek Drive. Travel
a short distance before
turning left onto
Skamania Lodge
Way.
